Terms of Service

RunTheNumbers provides educational calculators. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, financial planner or tax preparer, and nothing here is investment, tax or legal advice. Results are estimates based on your inputs and our assumptions, which may be incomplete or out of date.

Using the site does not make us your adviser, planner or tax preparer, and no fiduciary or advisory relationship forms. Results describe scenarios built from the numbers you enter. Before you act on them, check them yourself or with a qualified professional.

You must be 18 or older to use RunTheNumbers.

What you type into the calculators stays in your browser unless you choose to share a link, which puts your inputs in the link itself. You are responsible for what you enter and for anyone you share a link with. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect.

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep tax tables, limits and formulas current and correct, and each tool’s methodology lists its sources, but we do not promise that any result is accurate, complete or fit for your situation, or that the site will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, taxes, penalties or investment losses, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and $100.

Please don’t:

• break the law or anyone else’s rights using the site;
• try to get into systems or data you aren’t allowed to reach, or test the site’s security without our written permission;
• send automated traffic that slows the site for others, or copy the site wholesale;
• present our results as your own professional advice to someone else.

We may block access for anyone who does.

The site links to outside sources such as the IRS and state revenue departments and runs on services such as Vercel. We are not responsible for other sites or services, and their own terms apply to them.

The site’s text, code, design and calculators belong to Seattle Cloud Consulting. You may use the results for your own planning and share links to them.

We may change or stop any part of the site. When we change these terms we post the new version here with a new effective date, and we announce material changes on the site before they take effect. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in King County, Washington, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
